Johnson Service Group is seeking a Sr. Composite Technician for a contract assignment. This role is in San Jose, CA .
Client is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do
Demonstrate hands-on experience in the fabrication, repair, and assembly of composite structures.
Proficient use of tools and equipment specific to composite materials, such as vacuum bagging, autoclaves, and precision measuring instruments.
In-depth understanding of various composite materials, resins, and fibers.
Ability to select appropriate materials based on project requirements and specifications.
Perform inspections and quality control checks on composite structures to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
Non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques for composite materials.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to composite structures. Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all stages of composite structure fabrication, ensuring a safe working environment.
Communicating and collaborating skills closely with engineers, designers, and other team members in a start-up project environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to composite structure fabrication and assembly.
Efficient organizational skills to manage work tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to project timelines.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in project requirements and willingness to learn and apply new techniques and technologies in composite materials.
Accurate record-keeping to document processes, changes, and inspection results.
Carrying and lifting up to 10-35 pounds.
Exposure to hazardous materials.
Inspecting your own work quality and checking for FOD ( foreign object debris).
