Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Senior Pipe & Valve Engineer for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly pay rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.
U.S. Citizenship is required
W2 hourly pay rate: $80.00 - $85.00 (according to experience)
Project Overview:
The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site. This position is located 22 miles north of Richland and works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
Responsibilities:
Essential duties include reviewing pipe and piping component related calculations and material evaluations. Prepare and coordinate piping and valve specifications and/or material requisitions, bid evaluations and award recommendations and perform detailed supplier bid technical evaluations and supplier document reviews. Candidate should have past experience with ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree with 9 years of related experience
- Good knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
- Experience in generating and executing material requisitions
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE Registration
- Previous Bechtel project experience
- Previous DOD/DOE project experience
- Experience with PipeWorks, TeamWorks and Bechtel Procurement System (BPS) and Non-conformance reporting tools (NCR)
