Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is assisting our global manufacturing client in their search for a Sr. R&D Electrical Engineer near Fayetteville, Arkansas. This position will support strategic direction & design as it relates to new electric motor technologies and products.Â

Duties:
Provide technical leadership and drive R&D efforts using in-depth technical expertise of electric motor design and development.
Support a team of engineers in technology development, product development and support of existing products.
Identify and implement innovative solutions while helping manage motor technologies, platforms, and intellectual property.
Leverage expertise in motor design to contribute ideas to a variety of complex R&D assignments.
Performs a detailed cost-benefit analysis for design optimization.
Create electrical designs for industrial motors with an emphasis on AC induction motor design technology, modeling techniques, testing and analysis of test data.
Act as project leader providing experience in the execution and use of supporting engineering tools, processes, and methods.
Collaborate with Product Management and Operations regarding product specs, application guidance, regulatory/cert requirements, etc.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 11+ years’ experience with designing electric motors
4 years' experience in Designing AC induction motors
Knowledge of electric motor technologies, advanced design methodologies (FEA), manufacturing processes, and customer support experience.
Working knowledge of UL, CSA, CE, IEEE, IEC, NEMA regulatory compliance
