Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Staff Accountant in the Atlanta, GA area. This is a 1+ year contract (possible contract to hire) position with a competitive pay and Hybrid work schedule. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Fortune 500 industry leader.
Responsibilities:
Perform month end close procedures
Account reconciliation and analysis
Recording of standard and complex journal entries
Fixed asset accounting
Interco accounting
Judgmental accruals
Ensuring GL integrity, timely and accurate posting to appropriate accounts
Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience with ability to succeed in a deadline driven and fast paced general ledger accounting environment to include performing monthly financial closings including account reconciliations.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Previous experience with an ERP system (Oracle/SAP preferred)
Understanding of GAAP
Proven characteristics of consistent accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to analyze problems, determine and take the correct course of action and/or recommend actionable suggestions for change.
