We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Stress Engineer with extensive knowledge of AutoPipe software and experience in mechanical stress engineering for pipelines, gas plants, and related infrastructure. This position will serve as a subject matter expert and team lead, coaching junior engineers and interacting directly with customers. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate the advantages of our client's capabilities and have a deep understanding of applicable codes and standards in Canada.
Responsibilities:

Conduct stress analysis using AutoPipe software for pipelines, gas plants, and related infrastructure.
Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Act as a customer-facing subject matter expert, providing technical advice and promoting the company's capabilities.
Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards, including but not limited to API (570, 579-1/ASME FFS-1, 610, 617), CSA (Z662, B51, Z245), ASME (B31.3, B31.4, B31.8), and Alberta's local codes and regulations (Pipeline Rules, Oil and Gas Conservation Rules, Safety Codes Act - Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation).
Collaborate with project teams to develop design solutions and resolve engineering issues.
Create and present reports on findings and recommendations to both internal team members and external clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
Foster strong customer relationships with a commitment to exceeding expectations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in mechanical stress engineering, specifically for pipelines, gas plants, and related infrastructure.
Proficient in AutoPipe stress analysis software.
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards in Canada, particularly Alberta, including API, CSA, ASME, and Alberta's local codes and regulations.
Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and technical skills.
Strong desire to exceed expectations and foster strong customer relationships.
