Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Lead responsible for leading structural engineering efforts across all project phases, ensuring technical accuracy, schedule forecasting, material specification, and mentoring of engineering staff on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Must Have skills
Structural engineering leadership on large-scale projects
Estimating and scheduling, including workforce forecasting
Specification and design criteria development for structural systems
Advanced engineering calculations and problem resolution
Oversight of procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities
Ability to supervise, mentor, and provide performance feedback to engineers
Nice to have skills
Professional engineering registration and technical society membership
Practical field experience in structural engineering
Knowledge of commercial material availability and cost
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office and presentation software
Experience with project close-out and progress reporting
Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering tasks across all project phases with technical accuracy
Develop and review estimates, schedules, and workforce forecasts
Monitor key material quantities and provide analysis/forecasting
Create and validate specifications and structural design criteria
Supervise engineering teams and mentor less experienced engineers
Provide input on performance appraisals and staff development
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements
Support procurement, permitting, and subcontracting processes
Deliver project close-out documentation and reporting as required
