Uses computational methods and tools in a specialized field (strength of metallic and composite structures, finite element analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, etc.).
Performs pre-dimensioning computations by implementing analytical or digital computation methods and pass judgement on the credibility of the data received and the results obtained.
Take part in drawing up the measurement plan applicable to the tests, and analyze the results. Required experience with structural mechanics simulation software including NASTRAN, PATRAN.
Must have knowledge and experience applying skills, tools, and judgment to the field of aircraft primary structure design.
Experience analyzing aircraft subsystems and subsystem installations highly desired. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.
SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO START
Required Minimum skills:
1. Airframe primary structure layout and sizing
2. Hand analysis of aerospace structures
