JSG is seeking a Civil Engineering student intern to support our client in San Jose. This role offers hands-on experience in both field and office aspects of civil infrastructure construction.
Responsibilities:
Review engineering drawings and specifications.
Support construction field activities: site observations, documentation, and coordination with inspectors.
Organize and maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, as-builts).
Attend construction meetings and take notes.
Learning Opportunities:
Exposure to civil infrastructure projects and construction management practices.
Develop skills in interpreting construction drawings, scheduling, cost tracking, and quality control.
Understand project life cycle and basic contract administration processes.
Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering)
Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and construction terminology.
Ability to read plans, observe site activities, organize tasks, and communicate clearly.
Comfortable performing site visits and following safety protocols.
Must possess a CA driver’s license.
$28.27/hr. contract positionÂ
