Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is actively seeking three (3) experienced Senior Substation Project Managers for a leading electrical engineering client, working from their office in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Job Duties:
  • Manage the design of high voltage electrical substations from conception through final details
  • Manager projects for new, upgraded, and expanded substations
  • Manage material procurement, substation construction, commissioning, and startup
  • Manage development and delivery of physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies, including calculations, drawings, exhibits and specifications.
  • Coordinate the completion of specialized tasks with other SMEs such as Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection (relay coordination and settings), Civil Engineering, Communication (SCADA Integration), Transmission & Distribution Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls.

Requirements:
  • BS or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience in project and design engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience in project management, directing and overseeing multiple technical disciplines in completion of substation projects
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience working at electrical power generation and distribution companies
  • Advanced knowledge of power engineering principals, applicable codes, standards and design tools
