Technical Writer – Facilities Equipment Location: Gaithersburg, MD Duration: 1+ Year Contract (Potential for Direct Hire) Pay Rate: $45.00/hour Work Arrangement: Full-time, On-site
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Technical Writer for a one-year+ contract with a leading pharmaceutical company in Gaithersburg, MD. This role requires on-site collaboration with the capital project team during the document turnover process, followed by an ongoing staff augmentation position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facilities equipment, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), pumps, refrigerators, generators, and more.
Create calibration procedures for various facilities equipment.
Draft preventive maintenance (PM) task lists to support operational efficiency.
Utilize existing templates while applying fundamental knowledge of facilities equipment.
Ideally, possess an understanding of AHU sequence of operations.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in technical writing, particularly in a facilities or engineering environment.
Familiarity with facilities equipment and maintenance processes.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
