Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Waste Water Operator with a valid driver’s license and ability to work a rotating schedule and willing to work overtime. This is a direct hire) opportunity in McKeesport PA.
DEP Class A Wastewater License is required
Pay $76,000
Rotating Schedule
Start Time – 12pm – 8am, 8am – 4pm, 4pm – 12 am
Primary Role:
Performs visual inspections of the plant and makes process control decisions to comply with PA SOP & DEP regulations. Reports any irregularities and emergencies to the supervisor and/or superintendent. Acts as working foreman and assists with all work-related activities, including operator level maintenance.
Key Accountabilities:
Thorough knowledge of all required duties and operations in the department.
Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment and vehicles in the department. Demonstrated ability to successfully complete all assignments in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to perform all job duties, of an Operator, with positive work attitude, courtesy, and cooperative behavior towards supervisors, employees, and customers. Completion of confined space training and all other relative safety training. Obtain any and all state required credentials
necessary to perform the lab tests. Obtain a thorough understanding of the PA AW Inc. NPDES Permit.
Skills
Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Some knowledge of computer operated equipment
Able to lift, carry, and drag equipment and exert force up to forty (40) pounds; climb over and pull up oneself over obstacles; jump down from an elevated surface; climb through openings; jump over obstacles; crawl in confined areas; balance on uneven or narrow surfaces and use body force to gain entrance.
Climb steps and ladders on a regular basis to perform assigned tasks. Work safely in an environment that includes significant noise, atmospheric conditions, and some environmental hazards that necessitate safety gear, eye protection, and occasionally a respirator. Able to carry out written and oral directions and required tasks.
