Johnson Service group is looking for a Skilled Trade Intern for one of our Clients in San Jose. Responsible for monitoring plant equipment and grounds, collecting and analyzing water and chemical samples, and retrieving data.
Responsibilities:
Conduct plant rounds to monitor plant equipment and grounds. Observe and retrieve water, chemical, and equipment readings.
Collect samples of water and other materials from the different phases of water treatment; measure and analyze the samples to determine compliance.
View SCADA to retrieve data for water quality reports.
Perform sludge disposal.
Operate variety of hand and power tools and equipment related to work.
Perform cleaning and housekeeping.
Follow safety regulations and safety policies and procedures applicable to their assignments.
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in or have completed in the last six months: Engineering, Science, or Water Related Program.
Be able to commit at least 15-20 hours a week.
Proof of enrollment or graduation required prior to start date.
Pass pre-employment screening process including reference, background, and criminal checks.
Pay rate: $26.31/hr. Contract
