Johnson Service Group is seeking an Account Manager for a direct hire opportunity with strong relationship-building skills for a global manufacturer/distributor of metal products in Summerville, SC.  The incumbent must have direct experience working with big box retailers at the corporate level.

Summary:

This position will report to the Customer Service Manager.  The incumbent acts as a direct liaison between customers, sales team, operational departments and key vendors.  This role includes client development, sales support, order management, issue resolution, and follow up.  This position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all in-bound customer communication (written and verbal) in a knowledgeable, pleasant and professional manner.
  • Communicate with customers regarding price negotiations, shipping details, and product inquiries. 
  • Responsibility for all client-facing interactions, including order management, customer invoicing, product and service issue resolution, etc.
  • Ensure purchase orders are received, processed and shipped accurately and in a timely manner
  • Providing timely support to the sales team, including trade shows, sales materials, basic reporting, etc.
  • Assist in analyzing product inventory and forecasting
  • Maintaining an open line of communication with overseas offices.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly with Excel
  • Prior ERP experience highly preferred
  • Must have big-box retail experience working with customers such as Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Extensive Customer Support background
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned duties in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
