Johnson Service Group is recruiting for an experienced, Accounting Manager, for a direct hire position in Oak Ridge, TN. 

This position will support daily accounting activities, help develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems, and improve accounting internal controls. This person will also work with other members of the accounting team as well as company leadership to ensure accuracy in all accounting practices.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the JAMIS ERP Accounting System
• Produce financial statements by evaluating accounting data and help streamline departmental systems and processes.
• Create and maintain financial records and other files to accurately document transactions.
• Provide technical accounting GAAP guidance and support including due diligence.
• Support financial objectives through organizational collaboration and project leadership.
• Supervise the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements (including income, property, sales and use, payroll, and other local taxes), and other reports required for federal compliance.
• Oversee the accounting team, ensuring staff skill levels are appropriate, and that adequate resources are in place to meet departmental demands.
• Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures are in place.
• Lead, manage, and develop staff members so they achieve their maximum potential and effectively collaborate with their team.
• Implement systems and processes to ensure project expenses are well managed, and do not exceed each project’s budget.
• Provides month-end financial reports, including cash flow and bank reconciliations, to the CFO.
• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable, managing staff to ensure proper procedures in use, as well as ensuring questions from clients and staff are resolved in a timely basis.
• Coordinate year-end audit and prepare all pertinent schedules for the auditors, making all corrective post-closing journal entries.
• Assist in reviews of budgets for project proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • [5] years accounting or finance experience required. • Knowledge of GAPP as it relates to corporate accounting. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office 365, emphasis on Excel • Experience with JAMIS ERP, or equivalent

PREFERRED SKILLS
The ability to communicate and delegate effectively with the entire accounting team, with both on site and remote workers. Able to exercise sound judgment and decision making based on accurate and timely analysis of accounts working toward performance-based goals. Strong computer skills are necessary.
