JSG is currently seeking Assembly Technicians/Quality Inspectors to assemble and inspect industrial components according to blueprints and quality specifications to support a manufacturer in North Charleston. This will be a long-term contract opportunity with the intention to hire permanently, but must be willing to commute or relocate to Sumter, SC (Fall 2021).
Pay Rate: $17.25/hr | Shift: 1st shift (Mon - Fri, 7:00am - 3:30pm)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble components using various tools
- Operate manufacturing & assembly machines
- Set gauges i.e. Height, ID / OD, 3-Ball, RC, & Duplex
- Measure components using micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read blueprints
- Perform final inspection of components
- Wash mechanical components
- Understand and implement 5S
- Maintain Quality Standards
Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be mechanically inclined!
- Willing and eager to learn new skills (Company is willing to train)
- Must be driven with a coachable attitude
