Johnson Service Group, Inc. is teamed with a leading aerospace/defense company, who is currently seeking talented Machinists for temporary to direct hire positions on a variety shifts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- 2-6+ years of experience with CNC Horizontal Mill and Lathe.
- Aerospace/defense experience is a plus but not required
- Perform setup operations, including setting up fixtures, cutting tools and CNC programs
- Maintain product quality through monitoring and adjusting CNC offsets as needed
- Perform inspection tasks of intermediate complexity interacting with drawings and more advanced inspection tools
- Ability to identify and correctly load and secure fixtures with minimal assistance.
- A working knowledge of shop math including tool geometry, positive and negative numbers, as well as basic geometry
- GD&T experience is highly desirable, as well as basic print reading
- The ability to read basic prints and apply basic dimensional specifications to inspection processes
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required
