JSG has a contract opening for a Communications Manager located in Waverly NE. This position is approved for 1 year and could be extended. It will be 100% onsite
The primary purpose of this role is to lead site and community engagement at the Lincoln site. This role will deliver high quality communications across site, increase employee engagement, develop and maintain community network, and support site change management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and delivery of a site communications strategy based upon the Lincoln site strategy, to increase engagement, alignment and transparency; incorporating: Communication channels strategy; Leadership communications plan; Communication skills and resources plan; Capability improvement plan
- Management of day-to-day site-wide communications, utilizing additional capable resources to deliver these communications where appropriate
- Develop, manage, and maintain site change management initiatives (i.e. Let’s Talk sessions and action planning/follow-up)
- Planning for, and design of major leadership communications and engagement events, utilizing additional capable resources to deliver these events where appropriate
- Develop and maintain external/community network to support recruitment initiatives, volunteer efforts, and community involvement
- Oversight and ongoing refreshment of site branding and 'look and feel' to create a working environment that aligns fully with the brand
Educational Background:
Preferred - Bachelors in Communication, Human Resources, or Business/Leadership
Experience:
- Experienced communications professional (in-house or external) with sound communications experience including internal engagement and external communications across a range of channels.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing impactful communications strategies.
- Experience of program communications, campaign management and issues management are desirable.
- High level of capability in all Microsoft Office software packages
- Experience with desktop publishing Strong creative capability in a range of media, with the ability to visualize and deliver exciting and on-brand communications
- Proven experience with change management within teams and strategic action planning to gain results
