Material Handler I – (Warehouse) Shipping and Receiving.
Johnson Service Group is seeking a Material Handler Level I for one of our premier clients in the Milpitas area. Forklift experience needed as well as 2 years experience and a High School Degree or GED.
Essential Functions:
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Operates fork-lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
- Data entry
- Pulling and moving material to the production floor.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong Customer Service Skills
Preferred Knowledge:
- Apics Certification
- Forklift
