Johnson Service Group, Inc. is teamed with a leading aerospace/defense company, who is currently seeking a talented and reliable Metal Check/Straightener Specialist.
Position Summary:
- 6 months - 3 years of related metal checking/straightening experience.
- Aerospace and/or defense experience is s plus, but not required.
- Ability to use basic shop math to complete tasks.
- Checking for product defects and operate a straightening press.
- Must be able to interpret and follow processes and customer specifications.
- Basic understanding of manual arbor presses, hydraulic presses and shrinker/stretcher machines is preferred.
- Will use basic measuring tools, including: feeler gauges, straight edge, height gauge, indicator, micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Knowledge of/ability to use basic measuring tools
- Will work with various materials including aluminum, titanium and steel.
- Ability to work from basic written prints or verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
Duration: Contract to Direct Hire
