Our Client is looking for an Integrity Pipeline Engineer (ROW Management) for 1- year contract in Calgary, AB
Responsibilities:
- Utilize and apply engineering knowledge in planning and conducting engineering analysis of significant scope and responsibility
- Gather and analyze data in support of assessing and quantifying integrity threats to the pipeline
- Conduct temporary and permanent vehicle crossing assessments and approvals
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders as required
- Determine and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify pipeline crossing mitigation work
- Collaborate with internal key stakeholders to reach optimized solutions
- Negotiate with third parties i.e. developers and applicants in collaboration to achieve compliant designs
- Perform design reviews for pipeline projects
- Guide junior technical staff
- Support training and implementation of the 1st and 2nd party crossing procedure
- Support the management of TC Energy’s protective measures typical drawings
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture related to process and procedures, supporting quality, efficiency and consistency efforts
- Communicate and report technical and project work progress to Leadership
- Generate statistical reports as needed
- Help identify opportunities for R&D projects and support R&D project
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Engineering (Civil, Materials, Mechanical, or Petroleum)
- Registered practicing Professional Engineer Designation with APEGA
- A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience
- Thorough understanding of Canadian regulations and standards related to pipelines
- Experience in developing technical procedures and processes to ensure safety, compliance, efficiency and effectiveness
- Must possess strong written and oral English communication skills
- Solid computer skills, ability to learn customized software in addition to SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of pipeline design, facility design, pipeline integrity and risk analysis
- Background in stress analysis and assessments relating to pipelines. Specifically, pipeline crossings knowledge (vehicle surface loading analysis) and experience
- Background in pipeline defect assessment and risk analysis
- Knowledge of Canadian civil bridge code design and geotechnical knowledge
- Project Management experience
- Have exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage your time, multi-task and work independently as may be required
