Johnson Service Group, Inc., is active seeking a Real Estate Specialist to work with our client in the Montreal, Quebec Canada area.  This is slotted as a contract and REMOTE opportunity (with occasional meetings in the office) working with a dynamic Fortune 500 organization and our client is hiring immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the efforts in developing and executing comprehensive category strategies for client’s real estate portfolio to meet short and long term goals.
  • Develop strategic plans in line with company’s business goals and lead the implementation of plans in areas such as leasing, subleasing along with sale and acquisition of properties which includes both manufacturing and office space
  • Draft Requests for proposals for the sale or acquisition of properties, perform lease audits on CAMs (Common Area Maintenance) and able to acquire property appraisals
  • Lead your category and collaborate with influence colleagues and executives across the organization to embrace the real estate strategy
  • Lead real estate category governances with executives and stakeholders
  • Analyze and familiarize yourself with our client’s real estate portfolio and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate wide inventory of owned and leased properties worldwide
  • Collaborate with the Business transformation team to develop global category strategies as well as lead the corporate real estate function
  • Launch RFPs for selling and sublease offices and building’s
  • Conduct audits for supplemental expenses (ie, maintenance, utilities)
  • Able to draft and/or amend Leasing contracts
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for leasing and acquisition of property

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Real Estate or related degree
  • Seeking 20+ years of real estate experience with large commercial portfolios (Lease and/or owned
  • MBA is highly preferred but not required
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial organization
  • Strong financial and analytical skills are required
  • Seeking a critical thinker, strategic thinker that has a strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrates strong team leadership skills, communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Seeking professionals with strong negotiation skills and able contribute to the drafting/ amending of leases and subleases along and with supporting the sale and acquisition of properties
  • Capable of performing market analysis in different regions around the globe
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet deliverables and tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, both verbal and written
  • Strong Microsoft Office acumen (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
