Johnson Service Group, Inc. has an immediate need for a Site Maintenance Supervisor near Pedricktown, NJ.

A Maintenance Shift Supervisor is be expected to manage Resident Maintenance Technicians, along with commercial activities, while providing industrial Electrical/Mechanical expertise. 

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintain standards of service by ensuring quality communications with customers and colleagues
  • Responsible for team management involving interviewing, hiring, performance management, and termination of team engineers
  • Responsible for implementation of site quality, safety, and any statutory procedures
  • Attend regular meetings with the Site Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisors, and US head office Service Coordinator to discuss activities and progress
  • Partner with suppliers ensuring their maintenance visits are kept up-to-date
  • Ensure the company equipment supplied is well cared-for and is always in a presentable/usable/maintained condition
    • Ensure that all team engineer time sheets and documentation are accurate
    • Responsible for completing all correct job numbers and reports on a daily basis that are legible and accurate
    • Report absences and tardiness of team members to the Resident Site Manager, Site Maintenance Manager, or Resident Business Manager
  • Responsible for maintaining strong communication with the Customer’s site coordinator and colleagues at all times
  • Respond to electro-mechanical faults and provide technical assistance
  • Respond to customer or supervisor’s emergency calls
  • Safety consciousness in all activities; taking ownership of issues and seeing them through to a successful completion
  • Provide a first-class response to customer, ensuring a first-time right policy
  • Set up and calibrate precision automation equipment
  • Facilitate installation of conveyor and special machines
  • Regular meetings with the Resident Site Manager and/or Site Maintenance Manager to discuss activities and progress
  • Provide maintenance service support to your team, co-workers, and for the Customer’s installed system
  • Ensure that all spare parts usage issues are logged appropriately, and promptly, with the Knapp spare parts team
  • Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration, and system testing, and mentoring your team on same
  • Interpret and work with electrical circuit diagrams, mechanical drawings and blue prints, and read assembly drawings
  • Provide leadership and ownership for safety of your team, fellow resident team members, and all others in the facility where it applies to Knapp supplied equipment.  Leadership for health & safety considerations with regard to given tasks and carry out risk assessments
  • Responsible for coaching and providing instruction, as needed

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of verifiable progressive experience as Maintenance Repairman, Maintenance Electrician, Machine Repairman, or Industrial Maintenance Engineer
  • Verifiable experience providing repairs on various types of machinery systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems (e.g. repair and maintenance of electrical system with voltage such as 480vac, 240vac, 120vac, 48vdc, 24vdc, and hardware to include but not limited to Power Supplies, VFD’s and PLC’s (preferably Siemens))
  • Authorized to work in the U. S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and or (English/German) preferred, but not required
