This is a 4 month contract opportunity with our top client in Wilmington, DE.

Candidates must have strong computer skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel!!

The candidate will be responsible for the hands-on operation of monthly and ad hoc consolidation tasks related to the Biomaterials Business. This position is responsible for safeguarding the financial integrity of the Business’ legal entity closing processes, preparation of financial statements, and reporting of

results. Candidate will receive some formal training but will also learn on-the-job to gain an in-depth knowledge of the SAP S4Hana modules and key system integration points. Candidate will frequently interact with Finance, Operations, and other global personnel. Candidate will be centered in the Business’ Head Office, in Northern Delaware / Wilmington area.


  • Coordinating all aspects of consolidation accounting between the Business’ US and other legal entities.
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of business processes to support the U.S accounting operations.
  • Performing month end closing activities including posting journal entries and participating in account reconciliation
  • Accounting areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: revenue recognition, intercompany, UTP/RTP, equity accounting, and incentive compensation/benefits
  • Responsible for preparation of month-end financial reporting and understanding of key variances.
  • Coordinating finance master data import mapping during SAP implementation
  • Coordinating with other members of Finance / Accounting team to ensure integrity of financial operations and completeness of reporting.
  • Coordinating with Group Finance/Accounting team to perform related-party reconciliation and ensure timely delivery of financial reporting according to Group’s requirement.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance as needed.
  • Support the CFO in addressing reporting or other questions and inquiries.
  • Active/Integral member of the Finance team focused on driving standardization, simplification and process improvements.
  • Create, maintain & communicate documentation and process training.
  • Promote and lead SOX compliance.
  • Promote financial stewardship and ensure that financial practices are in accordance with GAAP.
  • Some travel to North Carolina and/or other sites will be required (~10%)


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years progressive experience in manufacturing environment; Experience of chief accountant/leading accountant preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills in SAP and Microsoft Suite of applications required
