Johnson Service Group is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a full time opportunity with a highly reputable manufacturing facility in the North Charleston, SC area.
Summary: The incumbent will aid in the development and maintenance of various military power and vehicle systems projects, medical device projects, test automation projects and software asset development.
Responsibilities:
- Help in the design process as well as code, modify, document and test embedded software applications, development testing software, and production automation software.
- Possess and apply knowledge of processor architectures, operating systems, and programming languages, such as:
- ARM M3, M4, M4F, M7, M7F, Various NXP, Microchip, and ST chips
- FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Linux, Windows
- C/C++, C#, Python, Ruby, Codesys, NI tools, .NET, WPF
- Ability to modify and perform software testing through unit testing to system level testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, engineering, or related field and 3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of coding and debugging embedded C/C++ code to a coding standard
- Knowledge of basic hardware test equipment like Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, power supply, electronics loads, in-circuit programmers, logic analyzers and communication analyzers.
- Knowledge and ability to setup programming development environments following company processes
- Willingness to work as part of a multifunction team, to give presentations to team and the customer, and to supply support at the customer’s site.
