Sr. CSA Estimator - Civil / Structural / Architectural
Johnson Service Group is currently seeking a Sr. CSA Estimator - Civil / Structural / Architectural for our client in the Atlanta, GA area. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the engineering quantity take-off for projects with the Estimating department highlighting important details, including phasing, individual pricing quantities, etc.
- Develop conceptual, schematic, design/ development and construction estimates, ensuring the scope of work, pricing, with clarifications and exclusions.
- Contact subcontractors and suppliers requesting quotes to successfully bid or budget a project.
- Prepare request for quotation, detailed scopes of work and follow-up with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quotes are submitted in an accurately and timely manner.
- Work with other Departments ensuring bid package is submitted in accordance with company bidding procedures
Qualifications:
- 10+ years estimating experience in the construction industry
- Must be able to perform conceptual Civil, Structural, Architectural estimates based on limited drawings and specifications.
- Must have experience estimating design-build AND manufacturing plant buildings
- Exhibit decisiveness in recognizing key factors and provide input to make timely and accurate estimates.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or another technical field.
- Proficiency in estimating, project scheduling and take off software solutions; knowledge of WinEst a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings.
- Strong knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform digital or conventional “take-offs”.
- Must be proficient at reading and interpreting drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong communication skills with Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
- Must be able to coordinate estimate with other building disciplines.
