JSG has a contract opening for a Training Specialist located in Rockville MD. This position is approved for 1 year and could be extended. It will be 100% onsite but will start remotely with occasional weekly visits to the site,

The primary purpose of this role is to support the day to day learning administration, coordination, and facilitation needs of the site.

There will be a strong requirement for collaborative working with local and global teams. This role must be able to engage positively and effectively with the business functions at site to support their needs. Local and global standard procedures and request management practices will be required to be adhered to in this role.

  • Support training coordination and delivery (Site induction training, Train the Trainer, etc.)
  • Perform Learning Management System (LMS) administration including: Learning assignment;  Learning scheduling; Learning recording; Learning reporting; Learning creation
  • Provide support to learners and mangers to support their understanding of learning requirements, learning management practices, and learning systems
  • Training logistics support e.g. room booking, materials management, trainer liaison, and documentation support
  • Support records management activities to regulatory and local standards e.g. archiving learning documentation
  • Support the execution of learning evaluation strategy and measurement of effectiveness of learning interventions through data gathering and reporting e.g. collating and processing level 1 feedback forms
  • Monitor and report training activity against agreed measures and KPIs
  • Prepare documentation and records management to support audit requirements
  • Support the management of local training facilities e.g. Site Learning Zones
  • Lead projects e.g. learning programs, continuous improvement
  • Ensure learning items and curricula are defined, kept up to date, and annually maintained through partnering with subject matter experts and/or curriculum owners
  • Support, monitor, and continually improve the systems and processes associated with the coordination and administration of training activities
  • May collaborate with the global myLearning service team for consultation and/or completion of myLearning administration requests
  • May manage relationships with third party vendors delivering training on behalf of the site ensuring they adhere to all required processes and documentation

Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Experience in training coordination and facilitation
  • Experience in using LMS
  • Good understanding of the LMS and functionality to support learning
  • Experience in Biopharma, Pharma, or other highly regulated environment (candidates with training experience in these industries will be given higher consideration)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Good communication skills and customer focus
  • Positive proactive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team
