<strong>Position Summary:</strong>&nbsp;<br>
This <strong>contract</strong> <strong>position</strong> will work closely with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Services, IT/Architecture, and external vendors to support the definition and enablement of the digital platform ecosystem required for Small Modular Reactor (SMR) operations.<br>
<br>
This role bridges evolving O&M business models with enterprise IT systems, ensuring alignment with Configuration Management (CM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Initiatives and long-term digital thread objectives.<br>
<br>
<strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong>
<ul>
&#9;<li>Translate O&M service models into IT platform and tool requirements.
&#9;<li>Define integration needs across OT (plant data), EAM (maintenance), ERP, and PLM systems.
&#9;<li>Recommend optimal platforms and integration approaches aligned with enterprise architecture.
&#9;<li>Define data flow concepts (e.g., Tag? Asset? Configuration Item) and lifecycle traceability.
&#9;<li>Evaluate tools such as AVEVA, Maximo, Oracle, and related platforms.
&#9;<li>Support vendor discussions and develop recommendation packages for leadership.
&#9;<li>Define data, integration, and event-driven workflow requirements (e.g., alerts to work orders).
&#9;<li>Coordinate across Enterprise CM/PLM/ERP leadership, O&M Services, IT, and vendors.
&#9;<li>Support implementation planning and pilot-to-scale transition readiness
</ul>

<strong>Education / Experience:</strong>&nbsp;

<ul>
&#9;<li>Bachelorâs Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar field.&nbsp;(Advanced degree preferred.)&nbsp; 
&#9;<li>8+ years of experience in industrial IT systems, engineering systems, or O&M environments.&nbsp;

The Independent <strong>Verification and Validation (IV&V) </strong>organization maintains the organizationâs V&V program and provides vendor oversight for V&V work on safety-related digital instrumentation and control (I&C) in accordance with <strong>IEEE Std 1012-2004,</strong> which is endorsed by <strong>Regulatory Guide 1.168 Revision</strong> <strong>2.</strong>&nbsp; Work activities may include update/maintenance of IV&V plans and procedures, performing criticality analysis for all SIL level software, supporting development and review of digital I&C system requirement specifications and statements of work, reviewing vendor V&V artifacts for acceptance, and participating in risk mitigation activities associated with IV&V projects. Work activities for this individual will be assigned by the IV&V Director.<br>

&#9;<li><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;Minimum of 15+ yearsâ experience working in safety I&C and V&V work environment, preferably in the power or nuclear industries, is required. Demonstrated understanding of engineering and/or manufacturing projects and terminology based on past work required. Solid technical writing and presentation skills and good communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.&nbsp; Knowledge about the relevant industry standards, including but not limited to IEEE Std 1012-2004 and its latest revision, and being considered a subject matter expert in safety I&C and V&V with demonstrated success in working on major nuclear digital I&C and V&V projects, are highly preferred.
